During the winter months cold outside weather combined with dry indoor heating wreaks havoc on your hair, leading to split ends and breakage. Here are 5 tips to help you through the cold months.

2: Weekly hair mask – Conditioning treatments are good to replenish moisture in the winter, as the hair becomes dehydrated from the dry heat from fires or central heating found in your home or work place. 3: Combat static – Using oils or moisture creams will reduce static electricity caused by hats, scarves and dry heat in your home.
4: Dry dry dry – Make sure your hair is dry before going outside as your hair is at its most venerable state when its wet. Wet hair plus freezing air can lead to dry brittle hair that’s easily damaged.
5: Stay on top of detangling – Remember the main reason for hair damage in the winter months is due to the lack of moisture, caused by heat in your home. That combined with hats and scarves cause long hair to become tangled, resulting in your winter hair dramas. Carry a brush and brush your hair out regularly.
